Student Success Closet Initiative

The Student Success Closet Initiative is AOSCF's signature program designed to help students overcome everyday barriers that can impact learning, attendance, confidence, and overall well-being.

We partner with schools to provide practical resources that help students arrive prepared to learn while supporting the educators who serve them.

The Student Success Closet may include resources such as:

Resource Area	Examples
Teacher Emergency Resources	Tissues, disinfecting wipes, bandages, lotion, pencils, and other classroom essentials to help educators respond to students' immediate needs
Non-Perishable Food	Granola bars, crackers, fruit cups, applesauce, nuts (where permitted by school policy), oatmeal cups, and other individually packaged, student-friendly snacks and meal items
Laundry Support	Laundry detergent pods, dryer sheets, stain remover, and laundry bags
Hair Care Kits	Combs, brushes, wide-tooth combs, hair ties, scarves, bonnets (for at-home use), durags, and hair oil
Hygiene Essentials	Deodorant, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and menstrual care products
Clothing Essentials	School uniforms, plain T-shirts, new socks, underwear, sports bras, belts, ponchos, umbrellas, gloves, hats, and seasonal cold-weather items
School Supplies	Backpacks, notebooks, folders, binders, pencils, pens, markers, crayons, highlighters, and other classroom essentials

As the Student Success Closet Initiative grows, AOSCF will continue expanding resources and community partnerships to meet the evolving needs of students and schools throughout the Dallas community.
