Our Story

The Alpha Omicron Sigma Charitable Foundation (AOSCF) was established in 2018 through the philanthropic vision of members of the Alpha Omicron Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., in Dallas, Texas. Recognizing the opportunity to expand their community impact, the founders created an independent charitable organization dedicated to serving the Dallas community through charitable giving, strategic partnerships, and community investment.

In September 2018, AOSCF was incorporated in the State of Texas and received 501(c)(3) public charity status from the Internal Revenue Service. Since its founding, the organization has remained committed to advancing charitable, educational, and community-focused initiatives that improve the quality of life for individuals and families throughout the Dallas community.

One of the foundation's earliest priorities was to honor the legacy of Karla E. Fuller, Esq., whose leadership, service, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of others left a lasting impact on the Dallas community. Her dedication to service continues to inspire the foundation's mission and commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for future generations.

The inaugural meeting of the Alpha Omicron Sigma Charitable Foundation Board of Directors was held on February 23, 2019, at Paul Quinn College in Dallas, Texas. During that meeting, the foundation's first officers were elected:
